View Full Version : Tacho Universal Relay not clicking

Hi, i managed 2 accidentily join 2 wires on the 912 cable while the tacho was powered up
now the problem is i can only do diag corrections and nothing else, when i try 2 do something like 206 diag there isnt any power supplied 2 the wires
also the relay doesnt click anymore
anybody knw which part 2 replace on the circuit board???

iv been playing that since posted, changed a diode, worked for 2 seconds then back 2 normal
then me being me, lost my temper and smashed the thing
new 1 on its way lol

Back EMF diode swapped it with a zenner or a lower rated/dud one lol

Usually the driver transistor is damaged.

Why not do what i do and just smash doors down .............. and yes I am one door short after last week loosing a dam chip

usually try not 2 break anythin, always works out 2 be more expensive in the end lol

Changing the two chips (IC111 and IC112)and adapter new relay,

the tacho "did" work, jus diagnostically, not manual jobs
so replacing the ic wudnt make any difference
