Change the kilometers in the ECU

Hello
First of all let me congratulate you for the forum, I like it very much.
I bought a Skoda Octavia ECU 15V from 2001 and I have to install it in the car. My car has about 113.500 km and I?d like to know how I can check and modify (if necessary) the kilometers registered in the ECU in order they correspond with the kilometers on my VDO. I have the cable vagtacho 2.50, tachosoft 20.1, vag-com 704.1, galleto 1250. I suppose that this can be done with the vag-tacho with the option Read EEprom / Write EEprom but I am not sure. Please if someone could help me I would be most grateful.

I would also like to know how I can find out the kilometers registered in the ECU.

for checking cilometers in ecu you have option in vag com
you go to aplication and select display edc 15 milage and then you press read and if the milage is counted in ecu it will be displayed.
for canging milage you have to have vag k-can comander

Ok. Thank your for yor help. Y know that I can see the kilometres with vag-com but I want to find out the data in ECU memory and modify then ( read and write).

But I don't understande the fonctions Read EEprom and Write EEprom in vag-tacho. According to the user guide vag tacho

1.4.8 Read eeprom
This will read ECU eeprom memory and store data into memory buffer.

4.12 Write eeprom
Same as its name. Upload file in memory first!

by me,easier way is open EDC15 ecu read eprom manual and change it...

be carefull vhen opening ecu becuse if you tvist it vhen remuving the board it it is dead forever

it is edc15,very simple 4 screws and easy open,edc16 is little nightmare for first time:-)

I want to buy a vag k+ can commmander cable, but I am afraid not to happen the same as with the vag-com one, which blocks if used with a different program from the one that come together with the cable. Could anybody tell me if it happens the same with the vag k+ commander? Thank you.

vag-k+can
1. read eeprom (EDC15x)
2. save file
3. Licznik open and change KM and save.
4. vag-k+can load changed fille
5. write eeprom

Can vag com read mileage from EDC15 fitted on Renault F9Q and G9T engines? Renault Clip and DDT2000 haven't this option.
I can write addon for DDT2000 for read mileage but I need request that send to ECU and description for returned bytes.

You can do it with Vag k+can commander 1.4 via OBD socket.
