[DM500S] Bluepanel doesn't load on Gemini 4.3.1

I've updated my DM500S with Gemini 4.3.1 image.

I can't get Blue Panel... it just shows a black screen for a couple of seconds, and come back on the previous channel...

Anyone has an idea ?

Aye, get rid of it and install Nabilosat 0.8 MAXVAR :)

It might be a bad flash mate, did you scrub the entire box before flashing the image?

What did you use to flash new image ?. try using FLASHWIZARD_6_3. It works fine for me on my Dreambox 7000 allthough my image is gemini 4.3

Oh, I've just "FTP'ed" image to /tmp and renamed it to root.cramfs
Nothing else...

I'm going to try Nabilo next week.

Just want to get Gemini Blue Panel working before that ! :)

Ouch, not the best way to do it mate.

The very best way is to open a telnet session and erase your image then upload your new one.

Nabilosat has all the blue panel stuff aswell mate, it's an amazing image, the best there is if u ask me. :)

Telnet commands to erase and flash a new image...

cd /var/tmp - change to the temp directory on your dreambox
eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 - erases everything then copies your image into the same place
reboot - reboots dreambox

Then I'll try Nabilo, which seems to be a very appreciated image.

Ok, just rebooted the DM500S.

It's scanning transponders...

The blue panel can disappear if you have copied your own /enigma folder to /var/tuxbox/config.

There are files in the /resources folder that messes this up.

You could have tried a factory reset and see if it came up then.

Oh, it had never worked on my box (I'm a newbie in Sat Boxes, even if I manage Unix servers at work...)

The scan is completed.

And the Blue Panel WORKS ! It was just an erasing issue...

This will backup your image and place it in your TMP folder, remember to copy it from tmp to your PC.

cat /dev/mtd/3 > /var/tmp/backup.img

pleased u got it working m8 and its always best to use dreamup for flashing the boxes.

also agree with witchy that nabilo is a corka image and has probably one of the best add-on servers.....edg nemesis is also a good image

I don't rate Dreamup at all mate, you can't beat a good old fashioned Telnet session, Dreamup is ok if you aren't sure how to Telnet though.

Dreamup is a NullModem wired solution, isn't it ? If so, I can't use it because none of my computers have a serial port...

I have downloaded and manually installed the SatanKeyBundle, but it seems that CCcam 2.0.8 can't find the keys... I think I forgot something... but haven't found what yet ! ;)

hi first make sure that you using dreamup don't forget flash erase
why can't you just flash the box with old image like 4.1.0 believe me there is no differences between 4.1.0 and 4.3.1
