easy way of getting my channels up and running on dbox2?

hey witchy listen ive followed your post of setting up flashfxp and after ive on dhcp ive restarted and my ip is still the same it hasnt changed im still on the same one please help

Will the IP of the dbox change?

if your box ip keeps changing b4 you do anything just got to the menu (network) and see what the ip is then you can just use that to get into the box. always check this if you cant get into the box. or untick dhcp in the same menu.

Only if you manually change it or allow DHCP to change it.

Is this a direct connection mate (i.e - not using a router) and are u using a cross-over cable?

You could set the IP manaually mate, disable DHCP on the box and enter 192.168.0.111 (last set of digits can be anything u want) set the Subnet to 255.255.255.0 and set the Gateway to 192.168.0.1, save your changes then reboot the box.

Now goto the PC and open up your network configuration page in the Control Panel, select your active network card and double click it to open another page, on this page double click on Internet Protocol(TCP/IP).

Tick USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS and enter 192.168.0.1 as the IP Address and 255.255.255.0 as the subnet, then click on ok. :)

Now start up your FTP software and connect to 192.168.0.111
