Peugeot / Clarion PU-2471A decode

Hi

I recently bought a 2nd hand Peugeot 206, registered 2005, with a Clarion RD3-01 radio. The radio is working fine, no problem at all, but I thought I might need a code with it, the dealer didn't supply a code.
So 2 questions...

1) Do I need a code?

Details are:
Clarion RD3-01 PU-2471A(J)
Serial No. CL054242132361J

2) If I don't need a code and my mechanic disconnects the battery will the radio work again once he reconnects the battery lead?

Sorry for being so gormless but this is fairly new to me.

Your radio is a VIN coded radio. If you disconnect the battery, it will automatically activate when you re-connect.
No need for a code.

is not mission impossible to disable beep !
