VagDashCan 5.05 Not working

Hi, got a vagdashcan clone here v5.05
the soft loads up fine and even detects interface

when its not plugged in 2 a car it will say communication error, wen its plugged in 2 a car it loads fine

when i try the EDC16 bit it doesnt communicate
when i try diagnostics still no communication

i am not using the blue usb cable it came with, jus a normal black one

any ideas? i heard some1 say you hav 2 update with original software or something like that

Have you tried solutions posted in other threads?
Reinstall soft, registry, clean drivers, check pin out on connector.. seems like they messed it. Could be the reason they can hook up to edc but not dash?
Someone suggested plug into car, then run software, but others also say opposite run soft then connect to car..
Have you tried closing-then running again soft after it gets communication error?
Where did you buy it, have a pic?

Soft/firmware .bin from org.web will screw it up, like vcds.. It think someone posted that interface was running ok, after upgrade it connects only to edc..

Dont uptade it will ruin the interface,
try to install in a pc where is no other ftdi driver installed,
and in my case on Toughbook CF-30 (Centrino 2 vPro) i had allways communication eror with the car,
i installed on my old Toughbook CF-50 (Intel P4 )
is working great.

i dnt really care about dash i need it for EDC16

check pin out, open it.. maybe you'll find some pins not connected or poorly connected, or not connected in right way?
If Puiu can post his interface picture inside you can compare since his one is working?

The interface is filled with some compound,
you cannot see anything inside,
i ruined one interface maybe because i
inserted first in the car and then in the USB,
and now it says USB device not recognised,
FTDI is damaged,in first place i tought is just the eeprom erased,but all program like M-prog etc. say device unknown.
I give it to a friend to remove the compound with ultrasound

My first card in Blue body VAGDASH K + CAN worked for a year with version 4.08 and then I did the update from the official site to version 5.11 adapter worked but had problems with reading EDC16. Has been updated to version 5.12 and then ceased altogether to read. No connection with the panels and motor blocks. I read the German forum that the producer made a version 5.12 specifically to upgrade the adapter there recorded nonsense and then get the adapter is not operational.

Clone or original. Vagdashcan is piece of shit. I have original and ME7 and EDC15 is not working ok. EDC16 is also not working like expected. Update will not help.

I installed version 5.14 ( device upgrade) and now when I connect the device does not detect the pc.
I installed soft in other computer - device is vorked.
Reinstall drivers is my computer - device vorked.

Have you done an update on the device or just the software you use works with your device
