Folks

I have a Clio 1.2 16v with SIM32 Siemens ECU S120201108B

The car has been hit at the front but no airbags deployed. The engine management light "stop" is on when you try to start it and the vehicle won't start.

Do I need to do a reset on the ecu ? erase crash data in airbag module or what?

Not sure where I start with this one, I know the ecu has a ST95160 on board, does this need editing?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Does the vehicle have an engine shut-down protection low coolant/low oil/ fuel pump crash cutoff? Maybe it is a broken wire/switch not the ecu. I was told a long time ago it's the stupid things that will drive you nuts!:smokin:

Hi

I'll check, do you know if the light illuminates for this or any other reason??

Thanks

Hi

Thinking back the fuel pump is running - distinctive sound remembered, but will check on the oil and coolant.

I was wondering if anyone had seen this light on before and prevented starting

Thanks

I haven't seen it in your perticular vehicle but have seen it in others including larger vehicles like trucks and busses. The first time I saw it I got freaked out wondering what fried but it was 2qts low on coolant.
