Hi there ive just bought myself a tacho universal pro!
There is no odometer correction specialists in my area so i am going to give it ago!
Have tried friends cars like passat, a4 etc via obd-2 and thought that this is great until i now realise that most cars are via eeprom!
Is there any advice anyone can give me on how to gain experience in this field?
Many Thanks

There are a number of people operating across N Ireland already. For instance I know guys, with the latest professional tools who will travel from Belfast to Enniskillen to do one car so you would need to do a bit of market research if you think there is no-one operating in your area. Granted in this line of work it's not the tool but the knowledge that gets you through but the guys I am talking about have at least ten years experience and will stand over any expensive damages that occur from time to time, and they do occur.

I know everyone has to start somewhere and I would advise a lot of practice on spare dashes before you even think of opening one belonging to a customer.

Cheers for advice Wurz, by my area i mean within 40miles of my house not the whole of N.Ireland!
I know a fella owns a scrap yard i might get a few clusters and experiment on them!

You'll need soldering gear and I would guess that if you bought a chinese Tacho Universal then unfortunately some of the boards will not work such as the Key reader, Can adapter, the NEC or the 9s12 board. You'll need to try these items out and if they do not work you'll need to find alternatives
