Updates can be quite costly for your machine. Ring'em!

It looks identical to the one in this picture. Has a colour screen and I bought it second hand. When u power it up it says dashfixer. I need to get the latest software installed as it only lists cars upto 2006 i think (am making this guess as it does not list cars beyond 2006 year in the model list), can anyone help

Updates are bought from dashfixer, you need to talk to them about cost

I have eventually got a reply asking for 6K for update software, reckon they are taking the pisss as a new unit costs about that much, can't see how software updates cost so much. Guess they are pissed that I bought a second hand unit and not from them a new one.

That is piss taking mate. Also i call this stupidness....and here it is why:
1. they loosing you as a customer on this particular uptade.
2. there's a big chance you'll leave Dasfixer and look to the competition, and there is cheaper
3. they putting potential new customers off

Anyway, that's only my 2p and I have on the table in the front of me just about 6 empty pints....so ignore me..

anyone suggest any alternative pieces of kit or place to get updates. If windows can be shared I can't see how dashfixer is better. I mean that why windows was bypassed coz of greed by the owners :)
