Is it allowed/tolerated to use a DM500 for FTA channels?

And will that still work anyway after Nag3 implemented?

no, you're connecting 3rd party equipment to VM property, which they don't like. Even if you did, you'd only get channels 1> 5 and maybe 1 or 2 others - they're the only FTA channels that don't need even basic encryption. if you have any sort of contact with VM you can get their basic FTA box which will give u basic stuff.
