MB E-class 220 CDI (W210) EGR help

Hi guys,

The car: Year 2000, MB E-class, E220, CDI, W210, Automatic gearbox

So i have a little problem :)

My MB started to throw black smoke from exhaust pipe. I discovered that the EGR is faulty and i tried to mechanically removed it, but the power is gone then. So i thought that somewhere here is the genius who can help me :) i read that EGR can be disabled from flash ecu, so i attached it here :)

Also if you could make a tuned file that would be awesome too :)

I'm using galletto 1260 if that makes any difference :)

instal ecm2001 in your comp and open that file in prog, first select driver, find phase of injection mapp and fill al to 176 value or hi to 183 i dont know exact, but must work!

i have a mb E200 cdi 2001 2,2l 116 hp and i disable egr but i dont see any diference in exhause smoke!! posibil you have probl in air admision like some litle claps and motor for claps is under plastic admision. sory my english is so poor!

I think i know what you are talking abaout and i removed them so my problem is definitely egr since i unplug egr there's no smoke...

I downloaded that program you told me, and i don't know how to use it at all.... Tried since you wrote me and no luck in uderstanding....

yes no smoke but no power! motor is limited to 3000rpm! open prog, select corect driver, select your mb file, find up in ecm prog ,, injection,, after ,, phase of injection,, open, and modify all value to 176 or hi. or better find in youtube, ecm2001 is a video in spanish lang but you understand in picture, ok!

Yes m8, exactly 3000, so that's why i need to reprogram my ecu to disable egr :) Thanks for your help, i will keep on trying :)

hier you have a example of your ecu modif, EGR OFF, Torque limiter, and turbo is modif, if you want to modifi more, modif in injection, rail presure, etc! but not exagerate is to dangerous!!

upload this file in your car and tell how work?

GABI_D can you also make EGR off for Peugeot 2.2 HDI EDC15C2 ecu?

nicowico, if you can read ecu dump is not so hard! open ecm2001, select corect driver, select your file and go to injections - phase of injection in ecm2001 is EGR, like in picture from coolins is reprezent in 3d grafic, put all value to hi and all is done! of course you can open your file in winols and make modify, but winols is for real profi. need more time for study how to work etc.

No. It just needs to be renamed ftom ".mod" to ".bin" I just did it for you ;)

No m8, this is a good file. It suppose to have more differs than few bytes, it's ok. I mean it's not a few bytes which you can disable but you have to rewrite all ecu's program.

I'm saying to you - use file which i renamed! i had the simmi9lar problem because gabi_d uploaded a zip archive which is not good i changed to rar archive now should be ok! trust me, the file is good you just extraxt it not correctly :)

YOU FIRSTLY HAVE TO EXTRAXT the bin file out of the archive! only then you can use it normally! if you don't know how to do it - use google and find WinRar :)

Ok, you were both right. My mistake. Sorry.

But..... It does not work. Got a polution fault right after I started the car and the car went in limp mode.
Reflashed with the ori file. Pitty.
