You can't delete active fault codes, only inactive can be deleted, fix the problem that active code shows, then it will become in active, only then you can delete it.

Thanks - Are you saying I cannot reset active faults.
Why is there a button saying reset active faults.

I fix all as was reported by insite.
I need to reset all fault codes to see if they reappear.

RUN THE TRUCK IF YOU FIXED ALL THE CODES AND THEN THEY SHOULD BECOME INACTIVE IF THEY ARE ALL FIXED THEN YOU CAN CLEAR THEM

How soon after you fix issues should code go inactive?
Is it the same time? or after a specific period?

when the fault is repaired either refresh the faults or cycle the ignition & the fault will then be inactive

If you ecm is protected for password, inactive faults can't be deleted.

not at all ...you try to delete (ACTIVE)....codes

if those are active u have to fix or repair ....solve the problem...change sensor ...repair connection....

insite its a good tool but not a (magic box) that dissappear the problems that are present.
read repair information ...and when the code comes inactive u can delete.

If you ecm is protected for password, inactive faults can't be deleted.

You can remove the password wit zap it than you can make anything you want.

If the engine has active faults showing on the after treatment, the engine will have to be run until the CAT is up to temperature before the faults go inactive. Link from the active fault to the fault finding tree in Insite and it will explain.
