and valves give some litle marks to the pistons....I think the safe range can be until 2570rpm....but only a suggestion.

Hi we have DDDL at our shop but do not have DDRS and was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping us flash a DDEC 3 ECM with higher HP settings Thanks!

IM NOT SURE HOW THE DDEC 3 ECMS ARE PROGRAMMED BUT THE DDEC 5 ECM HAS 3 OR 4 SETTING PROGRAMMED INTO IT AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PICK RETREIVE CALIBRATION FROM ECM THE AND IS WILL SHOW YOU USUALLY 3 DIFFERENT CALIBRATIONS AND YOU JUST PICK THE ONE YOU WANT THE PASSWORD IS USUALLY 0000 UNLESS ITS BEEN CHANGED BY THE OWNER IF IT HAS BEEN CHANGED LOOK AROUND THE FORUM FOR HOW TO REMOVE DDDL PASSWORD AND IT WILL TELL YOU ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW HAVE A GOOD ONE HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT

I would definately not turn those kind of rpm's out of a 60! It'll scatter on ya!

if u want more rpm and hp...u dont need flash ecm ...because comes blank...u need to upload the cal file with dct edit parameters stand alone and download.
if u have one with this caracteristics u can upload split the before uploaded put the good one and join ....and u get same calibration file with big performance and without fram data or software vercion conflict.

after uploading cal open the rating folder and max rpm can be changed

you will walk the bull gear at 2750 rpm at which point the engine will stop as the srs will be to far away from the pick up on the bull gear (best case scenario). over rev is a good generator of work as the bull gear needs to be replaced. i would not sugest uprating to 2750rpm.

how to replace bull gear impossible to run over 2750 with the same bull gear what parameter change with dct for upgrade rpm

only from ecm..I think ..bull gear just will give extra torq in tires or less....

The 60 series had problems with the cams burning out and comming apart! I would not suggest turning up the rpm.

No problem to rev 2750RPM witn a S60 can go to 3000RPM, I also ran a 3406E over 3000rpm with a stock valves train, just little marks on the pistons.(ex valves)

s60 will not take it for long at those rpms

I'm with Oxdog and DDMech. I have changed out many bull gears on underground mining trucks that have oversped to 3000rpm. The upside is that the bull gear machines a nice big circle out of the front cover to leave you with a light-weight racing cover!:)

I race 4 years same engine 3200 rpm no change oil and no problem dont take oil sound pretty good
is sure if you run 3000 rpm and always for 3 or 4 hour the engine is not created for that but a few seconde is not a problem if the bull gear is a brand new one if you put this type of rpm on old engine with 1000000 miles and more is sure piston, cam bull gear every thing go down the pan

Before you think about turning the rpm up read the warning on the flywheel. I think it has a max rpm on it. Can not speak for all but my ddec 3 does it like 2500 rpm.

big hill,full throttle,no problem!

just kidding!

None of these engines will take those rpms very long.25 years of engine experience taught me this.

depends on what you do with it if its for racing your expecting to push it to or past limits and if you blow it up it a bad day if you run the truck every day and make your living with it then you should be conservitive and stay within the limits. i run mine every day and set it for 2350rpm and only go that high to shift on a hill. but i also race it and turn it up for the races and havent had a problem yet but if you want to play you have to pay so who knows it may last forever maybe not that somthing you have to except when reving em high!!
