Its not hard but you really need the T4 system to do it.

You need to alter the BECM not the engine ECU. The BECM should be set to an immobiliser code of 0000 and if my memory is correct it will then enable the engines ECU to fire up.

Had the problem before but its been some time.


There are a couple of websites out there on the topic, one guy had sort of developed an emulator style setup to bypass it


You can get around it by entering the emergency code into the drivers door, ask the local rover dealer for the code and you should be able to get it going.
