BMW 525d 2001y - Strange problem

Hello

I have BMW 525d 2001y.

One cilinder dont work, everything changed. White smoke on exhaust.

When i try to connect it on OBD to scan errors, it can't.

On dash everything is light on. ESP. ABS. .... etc.

There is no comunication with ECU

ECU changed but same problem.

HELP PLEASE

What are you using to read from the ecu?

ELM327, Launch Diagun, OBDII scanner.

But no luck.

I have signal on White/green cable for ECU comunication.

But i can't make diagnose

That the Elm and OBDII scanners don't work doesn't surprise me. Diesels do not have to comply to EOBD until 2004. You need BMW specific software like INPA.

And i have some problem on mercedes, c220

No comunication with ECU with STAR C3

Could be a problem in the lead you use or inside the Launch.
Shit happens.

Can you communicate with other controllers? abs,airbag.........?
Communication DDE (Bmw engine) usualy on pin 8
(16 pins connector inside car)
You could try to test your diaggun with ledtester, when tester start communication you have to see the testlight blink.(pin 8)

No i can't access any modull inside car. It is not problem in with diagnostic tools

I have seen this problem before K line blockt.
Ussualy I disconnect controlers car one by one and see if communication then posible with other controlers.
Because you have ABS light on I would try disconnecting that controler fist.

Hi search in the trunk on the left side there must be conector with 3 wire for cd changer, look for short circuit or oxide pin in connector.

Take all your rubbish non working clones and put to receycle bin.

The way to your lokal dealer will be more cheap to do diag as buy all the stuff cloned....

White smoke on exhaust...Water in Combustion chamber,maybee your cylinder gasket is broken,or cylinder head....

Do test with CO recognising fluid on cooling fluid by hot engine....if you have CO in engine coolant...you have to open the engine...

Luck for you.When you wrote you have signal on communiction line,was thinking about bad clones.

Yes i know. I am big importer of clones. And i have tested lot of Cloned tools and only several company have good clones. Mostly problem is in bad PCB double side copper wires and holes.

Second problem can be bad cracked soft.

I have galletto from 2 company. One work OK. And one can't read FIAT Ecu ?!

First when buying one cloned tool you need to know that you will buy broken one, when first time buying :D

Normal price for galletto is 18 USD ( DHL 20$)

And test it, if not ok. Buy from another seller, but always ask seller is PCB inside tool, home mode or industrial.

Home made tools from china make loot of problems and headache.

Problem solved. NON MARKED MAF. And after changig that, all ok. But still no diagnostic.
