VW BORA, PASSAT AND GULF WINDOW REGULATOR CHANGE
BY MEATY OF MEAT-HEAD-MOTORS, IN ASSOCIATION WITH
DIK OF DIK MOTORS
There are a common failing on these vechiles, the plastic shatters
leaving the window insecure.
The customer involved in this thread wanted to pay little labour
as possable, but was more than happy to buy any parts it needed
You will have to work out how to remove your own panel as this thread is about the window regulator - be warned there is normally
a screw at the top and front of the panel.
Once the panel is off start with removing the glass by removing the core plugs on the panel and unscrewing the glass, tip the nose of the glass down then extract the back, store safely

PLEASE NOTE:
The customer didn't want to pay labour, but was happy to pay for parts, so instead of removing the glass, we just bricked it.

Once the glass is err 'removed' pop the plastic cover off the end of the door and unscrew the 'hose clip' that secures the lock barrel
work back and forwards untill it turns freely, the stop when you feel resistance otherwise the thing drops in the door - word on the street

Extract the barrel by pulling the handel

Flip out the 'noggin' using a small screwdriver in the side of the handel
