its to do with the picture buffering what browser are you using.
the player is playing faster than the download stream so it freezes while the download stream catches up.

It's your internet connection, test your download speed here Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed (http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/) maybe better after re-booting pc/router, if still crap (1meg ish) contact your isp to sort it or ditch them and change to faster supplier -Thats what I did. can't fault BeUnlimited's basic up to 8 meg connection (allways 7 meg)

It can also be caused by a slow or lagging processor. If it's a slow computer it doesn't matter how quick the broadband is. Theprocessor won't be able to work fast enough.

In any case u can also try to reinstall the adobe flash player from www.adobe.com (http://www.adobe.com). Its free and it only takes a minute. In some cases an older version might be better than the newest one cause of compatability issues.

as someone has said it could your cpu is slow do you know what spec it is single core, dual core? again download speed could affect it.
also what progs if any are running in the background normally shown in the system tray bottom right that are using the cpu resources, any of these could be the cause or a combination will cause the playback to freeze.
