I recently installed SIS 2009 and it was working fine but i had to format my laptop for maintenance, then i installed again but this time i can?t run "TA" or "Service Report" neither, there are the icons in my desktop but none of them in STW Launchpad.

Everytime I try to open "TA" from my desktop it doesn?t happens anything and when i try to open "Service Report" from my desktop it says "Error in getting registry string- root SOFTWARE\CATERPILLAR\Service Report\, subkey:, name: Directory : Reference to object is not established like an object instance" or something like that.

Does anyone know what can i do to make them work again ?? .... I think I can?t remember what I did the first time.

Could that be because I installed w7 x64 bits ???

That .xml file loaded just fine for me, after you browse and you find it, than click load, SIS will ask you to confirm that is the xml you want, it will have the user name, dealer info, and your name, there is a box in front of this info, put a check in the box and click load. Wait till it loads than go to log in. I've seen alot of loading problems because of people not putting a check in front of the file info.

Please help me look I'm trying to install the CBT - Component Based Troubleshooting and time to open it to use it asks to configure it and open a file called "cbt.mdb" which would be in the folder "C: \ Program Files \ Caterpillar Inc \ SIS \ appfiles "but can not find this file anyone know how to configure it to run it that neither the SIS with all the DVDs on the PC will be grateful.

Hello M8 follow these steps from RSwire tutorial on how to install SIS link is below.

Then follow my tutorial. There is a screen that will ask you if you would like to integrate the use of SIS. You must click YES. You need to do this because Cat SIS DVD provides the data for CBT. Link is below
