I've just bricked my router, was trying to upload the dd-wrt firmware on to my linksys router, but during upload my power went off, as the wife blew a fuse in her hair dryer!
I can't access the 168.192.1.1 anymore, ipconfig returns an ip address of 0.0.0.0 and i get no respose from pinging the router.
The power light flashes constantly too.
I know that i can fix this using jtag, but i'd really like to know if anyone else has any suggestions, as soldering is not my strong point
Also before it get's suggested, i've already tried a hard rest!
Regards
Andrew

Nope, i think the only way to fix it is by JTAG, i really dont see a way to upload the firmware in any other way since there is no interface active since the router is "dead" . :(

first, assign a fixed IP-adress to your computer from the same range the router uses. obviously DHCP isn?t working.
"192.168.1.2" for example would be fine.
try to ping your router. if this works its not fully bricked. if not, assign an ip adress using the adress resolution protocol (ARP) "arp -S 192.168.1.1 MAC_Adress_of_router". try to ping again.
when it does not respond, the router is gone.
if you get an answer, you could eventually flash a new FW using something like a "push" for uploading
i once "repaired" an intel netport express with this

Please Provide more Infomation on the router
Model Number
Version Number
if the LED is Blinking constantly your firmware is corrupt and needs to be replaced but you cant
the use the web access so try installing by tftp an exe
first download the official version firmware for your router
Make sure the version number is correct
look underneath router if not sure of model number or version

tftp direct link

reset router make sure it has ip address no 0.0.0.0 etc

the following may be useful, last week I by mistake flashed a DDWRT for a Buffalo router onto a DLink DIR 615 that also had DDWRT
same thing happened, was unable to get IP address or even use static IP Address and only had one light on front, so from the looks of it, the router was ~~~~ed...
but for some reason, the wifi on the router was working perfectly and I was able to connect my laptop via wifi to the router, assign an static IP Address to the laptop wifi adapter, go to config page of the router and flash the correct firmware.
