Friend of mine wants to put a used transmission in a car, but it does not work due to VIN different numbers. Any help appreciated.

What car is it
I have had a nightmare getting ML320 with new valvebody in transmission needed scn coding plus I found out that their are several varions of this transmission
note tha the control module that is important is internal to the valvebody and con only be programme 2 times

I had to have the latest das update as of july 15
Please check as to what valve body you have on this transmission carefully as some have off road option setting
that clash with dme combinations

can you please give me your mb part number for the tranmission as well as the valvebody id part number

this way I can cross reference to what has to be done

either way you will need an scn number to activate this transmission with the ism dme and driver access system(das) on the sl500

Is that for a used one?
He thinks that's possible only for adding virgin transmissions.
