Ok guys and gals...I know some of you are still having problems with the auto updating of your keys.

You will need to be comfortable with ftp'ing files to your dreambox for this to work.

Delete everything in your /keys folder.
Extract the /keys folder from the rar.
Copy the contents of this keys folder to your own keys folder.
Reboot your box.

With any luck...that should be you up and running again.

hi sound like the way forward for me, could you just try explain to me wot is the rar, is it something to do with the link rapidshare.com/files ect and if so how do i use it..

A 'rar' file is a compressed file like a 'zip' file, you can uncompress it and extract the files it contains with winrar, you can fin downloadable versions everywhere but be careful and don't get a cracked version as they can more often than not have a nasty extra file you do not want (been there, done that).

thanks caveman i am a little wiser but i am still not sure how to follow the guide by kaos , i just get lost at the point of extract the/keys folder from the rar.. wot rar, if it is the link to rapidshare i have no idea how to use it, i understand i need to delete existing key files and relace with the ones from the rar file, i just dont no where the rar file is, wow i got so much to learn anyone help, thank all

Rapidshare is a filehosting website.

Click on the link, follow the instructions and download the file.

You will have a keys.rar file on your desktop (or wherever you downloaded it to).

Open the file with winrar, if you have installed winrar it will automatically open it when you double click it.

Drag the keys folder to your desktop. The contents are now extracted from the rar.

I lost most of my channels tonight and looking at the forum I get the feeling the only people who are getting problems are the ones who couldn't get the fix working last week.I applied the fix last week and it all went just fine until tonight.
I have remembered to check my camd_cfg file and mg_cfg file.
I still haven't been able to figure out which image I am running.
I have tried FTPing the keys file that was recently posted and no success.

Delete everything in your /keys folder and replace it with the contents of the keys folder from the link in the first post.

Go to Sky Sports 1 and reboot the box.

Make sure you're using evocamd or mgcamd.

No...different Autoroll.key and AutoUpdate.key files would be needed for that package.

Try the new Mgcamd_1.30 emu, that should AU on TPS.

On some images /var/scce and /var/keys are the same directory (/var/scce is a symlink to /var/keys or vice-versa). Most cam daemons are indeed looking for the roms to be in /var/scce it's just that as I've already mentioned often /var/keys is the same directory.

No problem. If you're curious what files your particular cam daemon has open you can do the following from a telnet or SSH session on your Dreambox:



ps auxww | grep <cam_name>


The second field should be the process ID (PID). At which point you can:

if all your encrypted channels have gone then you might need these files. if its only the movie channels that have gone then try rebooting the box and see if they return.

Tried allsorts with different cams evocamd amd mgcam on gemini2 3.6 image, but now i can't even manually enter keys and get picture on any more with evocam 2.13 amd 2.17 mgcam 1.30.

Also i have been reading about chmoding files over to keys folder, i ftp them with flash fxp.

What do you edit in the camd_cfg to be a pure emu ?

it should be m8 but i dont think deleting them will make any difference to the autoroll

You can check the keylist file periodically and see when the date changes, that's when the keys have rolled.

If you want to test it auto updating, empty the contents of the keylist file and change channel, it should auto update.

Just edit the file so that the auto update section says { 02 }, save the file, empty the keylist.txt file, save the file, change channel and wait for it to come on. When it comes on, open the keylist.txt file and see what it's updated to.

Menus on images are image dependant, these menus are not on every image, in fact I don't remember an image where I've seen this option, I'm guessing it's a dbox2 you're using.

Try DCC, and a FTP client. Google Drambox FTP for a few tutorials.

Also if you go to the emu manager (usually blue or yellow button) you will see which one is active.
