What is the point of the ethernet socket on the Goodmans/Bush SD Freesat boxes? As far as I know i-player etc is only available on HD models. If I was to connect my SD box to my PC using ethernet would it do anything?

I was under the impression that SD box's only had LNB & Scart
Nothing else
No seperate audio phono
definitely no Ethernet

My box is the early Grundig/Goodmans GUFSAT01SD. The early models had two scart sockets, lnb loopthrough and ethernet. The link you posted above is the later SD model with only one scart and no ethernet.

Heres one I found on sale. Must be old stock. http://www.pulsat.com/products/Goodmans-GFSAT100SD-Freesat-%28Silver%29.html
