Sprinter 2007 ECU unlock

Guys,

I urgently need to unlock ECU EDC16+ for sprinter CDI.

There is no physical eeprom on board, it's in flash.

I can see VIN but i don't know how to unlock it to be able to personalize it with Star.

It's very urgent and important.

Please find original flash attached

Just tried the ECU on the car and for some odd reason there is no comms to ECU.
Even weirder thing is that when turned on ignition engine started to crank by itself!! WTF??!!!

No difference regarding flash original or modded same thing.

Strange behavior stopped when disconnected battery for a while and reconnected it back. However there is still no comms to ECU. All voltages OK. EZS/ESL woks fine it just doesn't see start allowance from ECU.

Has anyone experienced such things before?

Hi, may be ecu is destroyed when the board was removed. It happens to me once. Mercedes edc16+ ecus is hard to streap.

hi mate we have a 2006 one here with the exact same problem, weve got a brand new ecu from mercedes and the van wont crank i have checked all voltages to units and they are all fine let me no if u find out what it is cheers

Have you got StarDiag to adapt ECU to EZS/ESL? Can you turn ignition on? Does the glow plugs light (spiral) comes on for few seconds when you turn the IGN on?




Can you do me a favor and read flash from your ECU? :) I know it's a big one but i'd like to have a virgin dump for it...

You can read it with CAN flasher, CMD or MPPS etc.

Got the second ECU now. First one is damaged - one of the driver IC gets really hot. I'll fix it later.

In the meantime i need to adapt the second one to the bloody VAN.
