vauxhall/opel immo 2 can you read with desoldering?

hi as above is there anyway to read the code from the immobilizer box with desoldering the chip and puting it in a tms 370 or similar, is there a clip that you can put over it and make contact with the pins?

i have been reliably informed that the tms370 must be desoldered from the pcb to read
the motorola chip i have seen read from the board .....but
tms needs to be read in adapter unless ive been misinformed ?
