Good day all at DK I had a BMW 645i 2005 today for roof and boot not opening plugged my trusty X431 in and it went in and helped abit but could resolve......please go to agents......anyway now I am in the market for a clone dealer level tool but there about 3 (gt,ops????)so which one? and where can I get a good tool I mostly work on 2002 onwards so the older BMW's I am not really keen to get a dealer level tool

i havnt got 1, my mate has this
D-CAN Interface for GT1 and INPA_BMW Tools_Diagnostic Tools_Auto ECU Tools_sinosells.com, the best place for online shopping from China (http://www.sinosells.com/goods.php?id=634)

plus its cheap aswell

maybe one of our other members cud suggest some thing?

If you want dealer level

the GT1 / Progman / INPA route is probably better but its an older system now...still useful

Progman - will let you read and code
INPA - will scan clear faults and give some live data
NCS Expert - coding tool used by BMW engineers not dealers

There may be information from other members more knowledgeable...

ISTA/P is there new system, I think you can subscribe to a Internet access version but its expensive (I'm no expert).

Hope it helps in deciding what you could go with...
