Thanks but I have those. The FD 4500 rear connector is horizontal (grey in colour). I am assuming its TXD and RXD I am looking for (as opposed to clock and data). I don't even know if I have to connect direct to the PCB.

The part number for it is 4S61-18C815-AA and model is B3 LOW CD. Its the three tear fronted one.

On the rampantapathy site it shows the unlocker with the 4500 in the list but no diagram.

I've got a document relating to the Ford Unlock tool,
maybe not for your particular radio, but maybe help.

Thanks for all the help. Sorted now. Just find the SCL and SDA pads on the bottom of the PCB (pins 22 and 23 of the ST92F120 through a couple of 150 ohm smd resistors to the pads). Connect to the unlocker in 3000/4000 mode.

HiYa, have you got a picture of the solder points on the FD 4500 circuit board showing the way to get rid of `LOCK 13 ` please, Many thanks, sterling

I just soldered 2 wires onto the test points on the bottom of the set (through the 2 holes in the lid)

Thanks Dunker, just had the same problem connecting to a 4500. Used your method through 2 x 150 ohm resistors, now it's unlocked.
All the best,
Jules.
