usb-link with Cat Cable?

there is anybody who has tryed the Cat Cable for Usb link pn448015 I was told the normal 6/9 cable will do trucks only but not sure if it applyes to this cable as well

Thanks but that info is quoted all over here wondering if this special plug will allow anything diffrent or possibly HD equipment?

that cat 9 pin adapter is for cat truck only using ATA J1708.. Older Cat engines used this 9 pin. it was usually on the engine itself. 3406PEEC and 3176 engines. Cat machines talk a different language, the data is called CDL which is Cat data link.
