Hi,
I have been working on a Clio 2005. 1.2 16v
To eliminate a fault I decided to program a used ECU and swap it over.
This looked easy just transfer the eeprom contents ( siemens sim32, 95160 )

The car would not start, the immobiliser light remained solid.

Has anyone managed it with this ecu?
How did you do it?

Thanks

Is this to read full flash ? HC 7055 MCU ?

So BDM or other tool cannot do these ?

Hi,
In answer to your question I don't know, but in hours of trawling the net I remember coming across jigs for the bdm with renesas but not this particular chip ( sh705x )

I THINK the sagem 3000 security is held in eeprom so if you use the exact part number you can swap. You may evem then be able to swap the mapping using galleto. I find the sagem 3000 to be very reliable so don't see many going down.

The sim 32 is held in upc and in eeprom, the upc seems to re- write the eeprom on start up.

I think CMD offer a solution and K-teg offer a solution but if you are starting from scratch this ( SH705X PROGRAMMER-SH705X-Online Shopping (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xcar360.com%2Fsh705x-programmer.html) ) seems to be the cheapest way to a solution on the sim 32

Remapping Tools - Kessv2, K-tag, Powergate, Ecm Titanium, Cables (http://www.alientechsales.co.uk/products.aspx?pname=k-tag&pcategory=master)

Renesas becoming more common, in airbag etc so will need to find something to read / write.

On S3000 ecu you only need to swop eeprom which contains the security -- Correct.

Problem is that donor ecu must come from vehicle with same specific engine.

When S3000 ecu gets newly installed to the car it gets coded to that specific engine .

Some engines got more sensors or less sensors (For example . Had a Megane 2.0 liter that i needed to change the ecu on -Does not have cam angle sensor -

I could only find a secondhand 1.4L and 1.6L ecu . (These have cam angle sensors ) All numbers on ecu were the same.

I had car running on both the other ecu's but ran like shit.

With Clip i could not even remove the cam sensor fault as these sensors cannot be added or removed after the ecu gets coded to a specific engine.

So will be nice to just move the flash over with a tool.

Sorry .. Yes .. but not to trust the foocking seller .

And still to expensive to use only once in a year .

Most off these ecu,s i can fix . They do not usually give problems .

Can fi:ridinghorse:x everything on them unless someone else tried to have a go at them them and burnt some tracks..
