Dear Group

This 2001 S280 which has faults induced by a dealership during a cluster replacement under warranty, they told the customer the fault was preset prior their work, I had seen the car 2 days before, there was no DTC's or faults with the airbag system!!

Now we have:
B1860, B1870, B1874, B1321, B1319, B1307, B1000, B1322, B1320 & B1308...... Their estimate about ?700!!!

I'm looking for a Virgin file in the hope we can adapt as a new unit, any help much appreciated.

Darren

Dear Group.

Does anyone have a known (GOOD) clear dump?

I will change the chassis number in the file check and recode variants and see what happens.

Thanks

Darren

hi,

the trouble codes, are they readed out with star diag?
if so, what is the textline that comes with the fault?

i suppose these are trouble codes in the airbag unit

Hello.

Star was used, the codes will not clear, when the codes are read an Error box shows up saying the module is faulty and must be replaced..

Apart from the B1000 Module Required all other DTC's are coding issues which read correct.

I think some incorrect selections were made when the dash was fitted which in turn induced the module to this state.

I have orderd a new module, I will attach the virgin file when job is done..

Cheers

i had that probem little time ago.
when i tried to erase the trouble codes. the star diag says
the codes cant be erased. ecu fault.

then i go into developer mode, ansteuerung.

steuergerate entregelen.

when that was done.
it was like virgin unit.
in normal mode i take the staps to read in like a new module. and suprisely the trouble codes where gone
and everything was fine.

this al was an E-class 210 from 1999.

I think I got the the location of mcu. It is the one with white paper tag on it. If it is motorolla will UPA prog read it? I can`t find it in the UPA`s software the right one :(
Is it MC68HC12BE32? Will X-prog read it?

You can read it using UPA, just select device MC68HC912B32.

The MCU is the one with the label attached.

X-ProgM will read and write this on board, no lifting pins etc.

Thank you very much for the file, info and quick response. Got it fixed but didn`t report back on time :) due to issues with occupancy sensor. Any ideas to bypass it or apply certain voltage to the return wire?
