Hi guys,

I did update on the cluster on 2002 w203 to 2009 CLC so i would like to share my experience so you will know how to do it.

- both are same shape and no need of modifications to fit, except if you have the w203 coupe before 2003 then you need to replace the upper dash pad.

- connector is the same and wire position too.

- first main issue if you swap clusters your millage will be different on the new one, so you can take it apart, read the cluster dump file and change the millage on make virgin so it will adjust by itself when connected and set up by star. Or simply remove the eeprom on both and swap wit your old one.

- if your car is older than 2004 under star you will get IC ( instrument cluster ) version unknown, so you wont be able to adjust and don't try because you will update your EZS millage reading and you will increase it. the best way to do is to install CGW ( ZGW ), this way under star the car will say unable to guess the car modification so you chose the newer one and you will get into it and from there adjust all the setings. after you can remove the CGW orr leave it if you want to update the center console to the newer radio as it will need it so you can controw it through the steering wheel.

- Gas tank sensor faulty, if your cluster is set to different engine tipe it will show faulty fuell lever readings and wont work all the time so you have to set it up under star.

Well that its all aout you can do it and post if somethings comes on the way or have anithing to share.

What do you mean "install CGW"? You mean an actual ECU?
Thanks
