Hi,

has anyone connected the dm800 wich has only an optical sp-dif connector for audio-out to an copper-only input
channel on his amp? I want do hear radio and play mp3's via
my dreambox and feed it in my cyrus/mission amp/speakers.

And no - i dont want to buy a new amp

I assume by 'copper-only input' you mean either digital coaxial input or stereo RCA inputs.

If you mean digital coaxial, then you just need an optical to coaxial converter like THIS (http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/615/digital-optical-to-digital-coaxial-converter/display.html)for example.

Or if you mean Stereo RCA, then you'll need a DAC, a cheap DAC like THIS (http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/product/av-interconnects/cyp-%28uk%29-ltd/au-d3/cyp-aud3) for example would do the job.
