why not try mb star c3

Buy a chinese MB star c3. They are really cheap now. The only problem is 2003 and above need SCN coding and you need to go online for that. You can still program the ecu and i have done this without the SCN coding and have seen no problems with it running. I would still buy the tool since it is a great tool

For Star C3 i need Ibm t23 notebook...which port i need for mb star c3...t23 have RS232 only...

use atleast a T30 but you can use a Dell D620 too i think. Just buy already installed on a HDD. Das is a pain in the ass to install.

DAS can be installed on any laptop with real comport. Ibm T30 has very bad battery life. And Yes DAS is much Trouble to install.

Many notebook can install DAS, you can find anyone have RS232 port is better.
HP have some new kind you can choice.

Good choice for a laptop i use a dell d620 for techstream. about the battery life i always use the power cord can't have the computer go into hibernation in the middle of something

I suggest you can buy another high level models,
because that can run Xentry very very fast then other normal models,
and this not need to pay to more $$$ then dell D620.:rock:

DAS is not a pain . If you like and can to install DAS, you can work with it.

DAS 7-10 don't work with Chinese Mux? If you try does it lock out the Mux or can you go back to earlier version?

is it possible to solder a own MUX like C3?
are there any layouts avail?
Has anyone tried to use a DIY-Interface or a modified Interface with DAS?
I didn?t find anything like that here in the Forum but i think that is an interesting question. :-)

Hi,

you can use C3 in ALL notebooks with PCMCIA port and the soft VMWARE. You can find chinese clone with all included (notebook excluded if you're not interested): mux, cables, PCMCIA, HDD with DAS, EPC, WIS, SDMEDIA... installed in the HDD (60GB) but probably the 3.09 version of DAS (you can speak with them for the capacity of HDD, I recommed you 100-120 GB). They don't offer you soft aid to actualice the versions... but you have this forum where find all you need and more... only must say THANKS...

Chinese clone is about 450-500$.

All these advantages are in C3...Somewhere I have read C5 is ok for trucks (I have no used C3 with trucks...) I think C5 it's a chinese invention... and... do you know the price and where? :(
