I currently have a pc in my room that recieves broadband (Virgin) via a belkin reciever. The speed is very good. It has an inbuilt password so when switched on the pc autoconnects.
If i want to link my Pc to the kryptview are there any problems. i am looking at this being through
USB to Serial 9Pin Male Adaptor : USB Adaptors : Maplin (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=29968&doy=search)
as per a previous poster it is the pins that go into the back of the kryptview??
I take it that i need to have my pc on all times i wish to watch the channels.e.g if i need to record something overnigh the pc is on also.
or if there is an ethernet to ethernet cable that option.
Additionally what is the likeliness a few months down the line there will be server costs for this machine???

Thanks for any help

look at the back off the 780,remove sticker that will show a lan port to hook up to router,rs232-null modem cable only used for flashing the box.
