Hi All, I've been trying to find my way around Bulsat 39e, for the past week or so without success,I'd heard of a programme called fausto 1.43, downloaded and installed it, ran it made (I think) the neccesary .cfg file changes but can't seem to get it to work, can anyone please confirm, whether or not the DM 500s can do the job, or do I need Diablo Cam and a different box, any help would be greatfully appreciated.

This will work with your dreambox. Are you connecting with a null cable? You also need the latest Keys BIN.

Then your two config files should look like:

CCcam:

Obviously amend the IP addresses to yours.

If all that is on there then it should clear

MickfromCork you are aware that at the Moment you will require fausto software running on a PC connected to the Dreambox with a Null Modem Cable ! to Open Bulsat.

To be honest I would not be Bothered, Because The Technomates are now opening Bulsat with Firmware & Keys (No need for fausto any More)....

I would give it a Week or So and I am sure It will be opened in the same fashion on the Dreambox (Downloadable Keys etc running on an Emulator)

A little Rumor on the Grape Vine has it that Bulsat are to change from Irdeto2 in light of there current situation, curently they use two different encryptions Bulcrypt and Irdeto2 at the Moment, but are now starting to play with Delatcom + Tandberge Encryption on some of there Channels.

So I can not see Bulsat last too much longer.....

@Alunfennell, Hi,
ya i know about the null modem cable, thanks though, I've started down a road with this software and I'd like to finish with it, even if its only opened for a couple of days, its turned into a bit of a hair pulling exercise atm, but I'm going to fiddle around with these ccam.cfg entries and see how I get on

Mick...
Here is the full instructions I received from a poster called Compass on another forum...so full credit to him for writing this..not me.

This got me going...see if it helps for you..using the config files I already quoted:

Quote:
look in
C:>Programme Files>Fausto>Emu>Card Server Folder>faustoServers.cfg

1. Lets do the Fausto cfg first if there is a temporary FaustoServers Example cfg file, Please delete it, then copy & paste the FaustoServers cfg file in, (with your own IP address.)

2. now to add the cccam.cfg

Use Dreambox Control Centreor your usul FTP app

In FTP browse to Var/Etc
This is where you add the cccam.cfg (you may be asked if you wish to replace the existing cccam.cfg)

when your finished exit dcc

Quote:
You will need to stop set your DM to use CCcam to open Bulsat via your remote control

Quote:
Your now ready to run Fausto and load the current Fausto Emulator Keys. To do that take the "KEYS BIN" file from the latest Fausto files and drop them into a folder on your PC. From there either click on the folder button on the monitor screen of Fausto or drag it straight into the correct box (a message will pop up to say you have loaded the keys)

next click on server tab> Manager> Load > Start

you can click on monitor to see various information to see the Ecm log & Provider info

Bulsat should open if you have followed the info correctly.
