View Full Version : EX5100 is scrambled

VirginMedia have just replaced their cards on their V+ Boxes around a week ago in Surrey. Coincidentally, my EX5100 which has been working for 6 months has complained that nearly all it's channels are scrambled. I have tried a Deep Scan with no success. Any ideas?

If you have received a new card it for vermins new encryption called nagra 3,Thats why your channels are scrambled,No scans or firmware will fix this,There is no fix for nagra 3.

Is that it then has my 5100 turned to dog poo? Does any body know the answer ? If me box is dead, what the best to get to replace my trusty 5100. :(

If you have received a new card then Nagra 3 has hit your area,making your box useless and there is No fix for this.
Have a read up on the Kriypview A780

I've seen a Firmware download on this site from Satsmo dated 22/7/09 for Nagra 2 in Ireland. I haven't tried it as yet, but if N2 could be fixed, then why not N3?

n3 might be fixed sometime in the future but at the moment nobody has been able to crack the encryption so for now your box is useless and all you will be able to receive is channels 1-5.
the n2 fix is for ireland not england so you will be wasting your time installing it.

Vazron, are view sky sport?. i have sky sport 1-2-3-4-n but not sky movie, here in east london.
I was looking around on here, read on menue language stting ok press 1960. this show card key input mode all ( provider, key, key data) are set to zero, is correct? and why is it all zero if you were to know.

VM posted me one - I plugged it in to VM HD box...and Eurovox 5100PVR still works a treat. Am in Brum though. How long do I have?!

the switchover to n3 will start when all subscribers in your area have received their new cards which could be days/weeks depending how quickly the cards are sent out.
