I was able to load it using DAEMON tools or Virtual CD and it is installing now, must be a issue with MagicISO and NRG files.

used virtual cd to mount it and it worked great!!!!
now to find a npr.

i just checked those files are up are you downloading with premium user acct. if not maybe thats causing you a problem

For everyones information. If you use the Internet update manager on the software and perform all the available updates, it will give you an added bonus to the software. It will give you access from 2005 thru 2009! It will also update all of your diagnostic and trouble shooting guides, as well as updated TSB's and a few other things. This is a great download and has a few unexpected great features after updating. I have verified that all the information is accurate compared to GM on the Isuzu 7.8. atetruckrepair is to be applauded for sharing this with all of us in the forum.

I have found more information to pass on! After completeing what I thought were the last updates, I found even more. I logged back in to the Internet updater last night and it downloaded a new (Internet Updater) then the fun began. It then started an almost 1 gb update that brought the system up to August of 2010. Now the IDSS program supports diagnostics from 2005 thru 2011 and troubleshooting from 1985 thru 2011 with all current TSB's, electrical, schematics and so on. You can also set the system up to update automatically at the time of your choosing. Great tool that keeps getting better. Will keep everyone posted if I find more information.:rock:

OK , got it ok now, looks like the idssupdater works for 1 download pack at the time, and had to reboot the computer between each update , at boot up the updater was completing the update and I click again on check update and more update were available . I repeat the process untill no more update and I have now October 01 2010 version 5.1.3 running :ridinghorse:

I've been unable to get it working on my 64-bit machine. I'll keep playing around with it.

I think its because the REG fix for it uses \Program Files directory my default, but Windows 64-bits install to \Program Files (x64) by default.

you need to uninstall the program and take it out of the registry then install reg fix then program you need to read the posts first and you would not have had problems let me know how you make out L8R:sleep:

when you get the nrg tell it to open with winrar and it will work no one has had problems otherwise get something that reads nrg files and you will be fine let me know

I have a few questions about this. I had a 2002 NPR and I tried to use this program. I found first it only went back to 2005 to 2011 in the vehicle list. Also found it don't have the same engines.

Why doesn't it go back before 2005? Is this only for heavy equipment and/or offroad equip? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Sounds like it had an error updating the program. The program works got to be a computer or internet issue.

Yes the other copy I have on my laptop works fine Just the new install on my friends did not work. After full install with the big update at the end then when we tried to use the program kept getting a message 8 days to mandatory update then we closed the program out then restarted the computer says the same thing may just have been a screwed up update that did not take.

try wiping it out and reloading it but make sure to take it out of the registry also before reloading it

I was able to load it using DAEMON tools or Virtual CD and it is installing now, must be a issue with MagicISO and NRG files.

used virtual cd to mount it and it worked great!!!!
now to find a npr.

As ibmman says only choice is the GM TECH2. You will be able to pull codes and very generic data using the Launch x-431 (snap-on modis will only get you abs codes/data). If you plan on actually fixing them your gonna need the tech2.

slightly off topic here but how are the chinese tech2's? I don't need to do any programming on it. I saw one for $900 with candi module.

i have had no issues...updating till most recently Feb 11 2011....on Isuzu Idss server,.....Try using Revo Uninstaller....completeley remove any traces of Isuzu Idss ...and try re installing....
If that doesnt work...Im a firm believer in a Fresh Install after totally formatting Hd...and rebuilding system.....it may take a little more time...but in the end everything works,.,,,,best of luck

the virgin pc (never had IDSS on it) install IDSS and updated to Feb 11,2011. My netbook I will use that program and uninstall all traces of IDSS and retry tonight.
