High Ecms when on Dm 800hd when i connect laptop

Hi guys,bit of a weird one.

Ive a dm 800hd and its works fine.Have several laptops and wireless things in the house and no problems untill today.

Narrowed it down to my sons laptop,soon as he connects the ecms go through the roof from 0.2 something straight to 3.5 minimum and up to 5 something.

This is obviousley some kind of wireless problem but cant work out what to do.

Wouldnt mind its a brand new lappy.
