Anyone bought/used this tool before with these software ?

link: China ECU Tools Centre (http://www.cnecutool.com/productshow.asp?id=2778&sortsid=&sorts=)

I am thinking of getting one. Looks good for the price, especially if all functions supported on all softwares.

Does anyone have any experience with these softwares/interface ?

Thanks.

Not recommended buddy. Most of these guys only work on Toyota pretty well (as the infrastructure of the tool is fully J2534 compliant), but have issues here and there with other models.

Cheers for the info guys, seems its not as good as it seems.

however, I am not totally put off yet, as no one who has actually used this setup has come forward with their opinion.

I would be happy if it does all functions toyota, and programming functions for honda and volvo.

someone please share some more knowledge on this...

Hi

I have been looking at this interface too, but it appears on VIDA (Volvo) the interface support basic vehicle identification and software download only... so no diagnostics other than standard OBD with other software - no dealer level stuff with VIDA....so worth checking that Toyota and Honda are not similarily limited.

Hi,
M-vci
is compatible with Toyota group vehicles like Toyota, Lexus, and
Scion over the J1962 DLC3 diagnostic connector.. Origian MVCI
Supports Diagnostics, Reprogramming, Active tests, and key
programming . But Chinese clone can not do programming work.

Remember it only can support Toyota Group vehicles. No way on Volvo, and others.

have anybody tested the MVCI on Volvo Cars??

marsian
22nd October, 2010, 05:53 PM
Allscanner works ok on Toyota, but on volvo,it has lots of problems. Not working on s40 below 2004 and not working on newer diesel cars too.Can cause some problems on diesel cars with canbus (one ecu is lying on the ground now.)
Dont use it with volvo but honda and toyota is ok.

It works very well with the Techstream, no complaints there. Can't get Vida to work though because after I login with "admin" I get "no valid subscription"

The case quality is pretty good actually, I was suprised, but as a previous poster said the soldering inside is not good. Had this before with Chinese stuff - always have to make good the electronics before using it.

I've got a blue GNA600 for Honda though so not tried it with that.

HTH

Stay away from Autosky - Reede Huang - thief !
Use OBDSVS, Jenny is very good, you always get a tracking number within a day of purchase.

Techstream doesnt work with all toyota models for me, I mean the car list is not vast. Volvo works better for me, no complaints on volvo, I made for testing vida installation under vmware and since then its working real great.

ReInstall TIS with a newer edition and it will solve the limited model issue. I use it mainly for Prius issues and it works swell. Tested on a 04-11 prius and 2013 seinna and 2003 Hilander. I am using MVCI and Xhorse. Works awesome. Able to read codes on ABS and airbag and reset them. :)
