I just got a message on the screen informing that the new smart card will be in the next week, if i register the card when it arrives will my starview go off instantly or will it come into force at a later date. I can't complain i had a good run and didn't take a single day of it for granted.:coffin:

Hello
It won't make any difference if you put your card it strait away or not mate. You will loose channels a few at a time over the next couple of weeks or so until there all gone.Enjoy it while it lasts mate.

I can hope it was an error msg although i doubt it, i'm well prepared got the xbox knect ordered for living room on nov 10th i have a ps3 & in a week or two a hard drive stuffed with tv goodies, so i'm not that horrified by the loss. Have you googled to find out if i'm feeding you a line. I tried tversity on th s3 but the pictures are crap. Any suggestions seein as you aint that far from me would be useful.

Looked at that kryptview not worth the cash if it only lasts six mths although if it means that the box needs rescanned every six mths thats different. Any info let me know.

Got new card in post, ignored it and channels went off. Re-connected virgin box with new card, swapped box to starbox and it says "Information database empty".

I take it thats that then?? Good innings with it can't complain:barscarf:
