It's a bit of work, but you can copy most of the descriptions from this website: VAG-COM: uitleg - tips - trics (http://www.gerritspeek.nl/vag-com_foutcodeslijst-en.html)
It has 3 columns. 1st is Dutch, 2nd is German and the 3rd is the English description.
