Help! 2009 VW CRAFTER not start - key not turn in EZS

Hi all,

I have a 2009 VW CRAFTER, it does not start, the key does not turn anymore in EZS.
Wen i insert key into EZS, there is a key light on dashboard.
I tryed to diagnose with VCDS 805.1, i cannot enter diagnostic (hardware and usb pots are OK).
Is it IMMO problem, any issue ??

Hi

VCDS will NOT communicate with any of the Modules on This Vehicle as Crafter is Mercedes Benz system and NOT Vag System.

The red light signify that you have a Immobiliser Fault.

Try another key if you have also check all fuses and connection.

What is the story ? any repair work done on it recently.

No repair done on it.

I have MB tools, as Rosfar/Omega programmer and DAS/Xentry .., is there any solution to recover immo, caus i m VW newbee.

Hi

Try going under MB-Sprinter software and read the fault.

After testing all fuses ok, I hooked MB DAS/Xentry into OBD connector and try Sprinter 906 Menu: Connection OK.
EZS 906 545 26 08 responds well and i can enter its coding menu.
But when try to enter Instrument Cluster or ESL (=ELV Electronic Steering Lock) menu --> connection problem report, that means there is a problem with ELV.

I will try a new ELV, should I either delete start error fom EZS using immo off soft like (ImmoKi**er)?

If you have a new ELV try to put it on the car(van). You don't need do alter anything about immo.

Do you have any solution to take ELV off steering column, even if Steering Wheel is locked ??

ELV does not repond, how can I take it out from steering column to replace it, column is locked, please help.

m8 came across fault similar to yours. idident find the fault myself but the owner told me the dealers replaced 2 relays under the bonnet apparantly its a comon fault. i hope this helps you

I tested all Fuses and Relay, all is OK.
There is 12v arriving to ELV Plug, so Relay conduct current well.

Does anybody pull off Locked ELV (ESL) from streering column ??
Please help !

I work with DAS 2009, I can enter EZS menu, but EVL, Intrument Cluster are not possible to enter.
I think it is CAN communication problem, S should I reflash EZS with 9S12 dump for 906 545 26 08.

Is there someone can provide me dump for This EZS Please ?

I changed EZS and ELV right now and I'm still in step 0.

VAS PC from V17 have menu specific to Crafter, it is working fine. I have coded new key using VAG Commander though.
Why are you not telling us fault codes? Yes steering lock is common fault but always can be repaired. it'Is a waist of money just repalcing steering lock without diagnose !

I cannot read steering column fault code, IC either: communication problem.
Fault Code in EZS says: "ELV/MRM in a stress".

anyone know how to repair the ezs unit i have a merc sprinter which is same unit as a crafter bba reman offer a repair service thought id ask here before sending the unit off to them ?

its not unlocking the steering nor does the ignition come on :( mercedes sprinter 2007

did you manage to fix this problem? i also changed ezs unit still same problem have not changed elv as yet just seeing if there is a cure i tried the hammer but no luck

fault in esl not ezs

OK guys, is there any of you that still believe the fault is in EZS?
One more time, fault is in ELV, change it with a new one, or just change his Electromotor.

Got a VW CRAFTER 08 all keys lost. Got new keys from dealer, they cant program them in, I have tried to prepare key with ZED full and ID48 transponder still key does not turn. Also programmed with FVDI and new transponder still no joy. I have got the pin code and tried with VCDS still no joy.

Do these dumps go corrupt?

Also VCDS can learn keys in this car.

This is the thing VW dealer cant program them, I got the same pin 06952 the EZS just wont accept any key. If im using just a transponder should it be ID48 or ID48 can?

I had a 2007 crafter a while ago and used tango generated a file used a TP23 can bus

No, you need to have ID48 CAN precoded on 7th bytes component security.
