I have a question, I know that some of you have been modifying the bin files of other brands so that we can get them to work with the tech2win. Are you guys modifying the actual .bin file? Are you extracting it from the .bin file to hex and then decompiling it? What format is this code in? Is it proprietary to the tech2?

How i remember you must open Security Access in TIS2web, and tech2win license will be updated for next 30 day.

Has anyone got a patch or fixed exe. so other GM Brand .bin files will work on Tech2Win? There used to be a post with a patched version of the exe. but the whole thread seems to have been removed. I'm slowly going nuts trying to get a Holden card working on Tech2Win !!!!!

open tech2win,this will bring up tech2win configurator screen,click create new,give your file a name (anything will do) click copy then search for .bin file you have downloaded and then you should have new file in configurator ,click on the new file you have just created,tech2win will start,hey presto your up and running.
you still need globaltis installed to give your new tech2win a 30 day license,keep globaltis and tech2win open at same time then click security access then enable.globaltis will automatically find tech2win and give you a 30 day license.

Patrian looks like he is using Tech2Win, the GlobalTis updates give you the same screen. If you didn't have MCE, when a newer version of GlobalTis gets leaked you update Tech2 using the software updater (Top left icon in globaltis), you see this screen as part of that.

Tech2win can ony communicate to the car through the MDI So to diagnose any car you need the MDI.

Tech2win is not used on new cars (Insignia/astra J) they use GDS.

You need 1 Lappy with PCMCIA Card Slot & the BRILLIANT MCE (Memory Card Explorer) Software... ;)

About MCE S/W here you are and read with ATTENTION the .txt file ;)

But if you want you can himself change it. In lic file date start and date end have UNIX-TIME format.

In emulator.lic i find 1294162703 start and 1296754764 that means Tue, 04 Jan 2011 17:38:23 GMT start and Thu, 03 Feb 2011 17:39:24 GMT end time (19 days left). I modify end time to 1315589964 (09 Sep 2011 17:39:24 GMT) but get 0 days left. What i do wrong?

May be new version tech2win check some another conditions, like long of period not bigger than 31 day ...

And in lic file you can see long of period in string before start and end dates, It number 29, 30 or 31 ..may you must change this number.

shift+arrow+up or down for contrast .
shift+arrow + right to move memory card .
I download back the first version 113.030 sofrware so have everything back ok .

I can't reach for 30. every day licence TECH2WIN. After up - dating, or permit programming always subsidiary one day. You do not have some counsel?

There is a bug in v27 which makes the license for one day only. You must uninstall v27 completely and install v25 only and then re-register it. It will then give you 30days licesne. My advice is to have a seperate pc/laptop just for licensing the tech2win and another one to use with uptodate v27 software

Revisiting this again, GM now released Tech2Win ver 1.504, able to download NAO to work with it. Still J2534-2 grayed out though. I remember last year there was a switch to change in default.conf to allow selection, but back then it did not work, crashed even with the Opel/Vauxhall .bin. Also remember heated discussion about cracking it, sharing it, missing code, and many cases of Coke. Hoping there might be a better path now for Tech2Win to work on other than MDI, now that NAO and others are compatible. Thinking of buying an MDI like before. I gave up on the VAG-COM clones and hacks to buy an original Ross-Tech, but resisting an MDI where own a CarDaq+ which could eventually work? Thanks

Need to have software and hardware to read and write to the PCMCIA card. I learned on this thread, have a Tech2 now after giving up on Tech2Win, not having an MDI, hoping could work with J2534 pass though device eventually.

but yes this cable is made for work with Tech2Win, GlobalTis without pay for it.
U can install SW and get register code for free here on forum.
But like i know from forum - cable real work only with Tech2Win.

First you need install "Opel GlobalTIS v32.0 B Multilanguage" and register it with free key from forum,
second you need install Tech2Win and activate it via Globaltis (Security option in Globaltis).
Then u can load 32MB card binary file to Tech2Win with GM diagnostick sw (or Opel, Chevrolet, Suziky ...),
then you can use Tech2win for diag. selected cars.

PS: I self use "GM mini MDI" cable for work with Tech2Win.

So sounds like I'm only missing the activation using GlobalTis. I was just making sure the OPEL version would work or if I needed to find a US GM version.

I looked at the MINI mdi but it was more then then the Mongoose. Does that MDI mini do GDS2 for the newer stuff like the real MDI?

Which cable you using? Probably with PassThru. You must send permission (licence) from GlobalTIS to Tech2Win. Digit after the lock (bottom part screen) show you how many days you have licence to use. If you using GlobalTIS v28-32 licence will be for 1 day (24hr), after expired licence you must send again.

Instruction to send licence to Tech2win from GlobalTIS (the example from AVDI):
Run GlobalTIS.
In GlobalTIS click on Security Access (Security).
In GlobalTIS, Security click on the button Start Download. This will run Security Access wizard.
When its main window is displayed click on the button Next.
When the activation finish you will see the following window with information: "Security Access Enabled Security Access type 3"
After a successful security access inTech2Win you can see an open lock on the right side of the

Could any of you nice folks help me find Tech2 Suzuki card bin? For this 2008 Grand Vitara, cannot find any other scanner or software to service C1076 "Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor Calibration Incomplete". Have gotton by everything else with other scanners, and there's no Suzuki dealer anymore in our area.
Finding that many older cards (Suzuki 2007, Saab and Isuzu) don't work with Tech2Win, but do work as card in Tech2, think this is one of those. According to 241240 it's 10MB covers 1999-Current except XL-7, which is Tech2Win. Thanks

Revisiting this again, GM now released Tech2Win ver 1.504, able to download NAO to work with it. Still J2534-2 grayed out though. I remember last year there was a switch to change in default.conf to allow selection, but back then it did not work, crashed even with the Opel/Vauxhall .bin. Also remember heated discussion about cracking it, sharing it, missing code, and many cases of Coke. Hoping there might be a better path now for Tech2Win to work on other than MDI, now that NAO and others are compatible. Thinking of buying an MDI like before. I gave up on the VAG-COM clones and hacks to buy an original Ross-Tech, but resisting an MDI where own a CarDaq+ which could eventually work? Thanks
