Not english update but the into the chinese one you can change the language: english,chinese, russian.
"What do you need more?"
Don't you think that it is too much for a year of waiting for a new updates?
I'm very glad that I sold it and I will never advise someone to buy this tool anymore.
Speacking about xcar431 which is a clone of Carbarain C168, what can I say?

If you want to test newest vehicles invest 150 eur more and buy HXH.Last weekend I coded injectors on Renault EDC16 and enter via can to ABS, AIR BAG, MOTOR, DASH without any problem on megane II 2006.Sistem in menu is very similar to Carbrain.Soft reliable and tested on XP,Vista and 7.

I don't said that is better then Carbrain, I wanna said that it has better price for same functions.
HxHScan you can try by yourself.
I had Carbrain C168 genuine one and it is a big sh..t.
No good coverage, no new upgrade for more then a year.
No very good cover for CAN.
What you wanna tell you more to make you to don't buy this tool?
If you want it buy it, I just don't advise you to buy.
The price for genuine one is good but .... don't waist your money.
The advise come from one who had it and who worked with it and who is very disapointed by this tool.
Once again I tell you that I had a genuine one.

But in the time i wanted to buy a good tool there was not as much info about the c-168.

The only reply's i got was that it was a good tool, and for the price it is a OK tool not great but OK.

Just like you said no good coffer on Can.
Also are there cars and moddels in the program that will not work or connect.

And what i had is when i want to service a Chrysler the program crashed time after time, it will connect but assoon as you want to read the DTC it craches.

@baner (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/115777-baner/) Alfa and Lanci are very bad covered I tested only on Alfa 156 2001 1.6 and I only manage to connect to motor ecu.On motor ecu you can read and erase faults, see ecu info, read actual values, and play with actuators.

HxH is a new release of c168,and its same shit,only canbus added to RENAULT.
Please check sensor values on HxH,you will see all of them are wrong (except renault)

You might be right. I sent them email asking about updates and I did not get any reply. I have licensed Carbrain but paying extra for the license does not give any benefit since there are no updates anyway.

If you have a trouble with installing the soft than you have a trouble with soft and not with clone device.
Post here or upload to rapidshare your soft and I can check your software.

Miha99 thank you.. I downloaded the software you posted on page 1 and it works just fine. Now my problem is when I try to scan a car the software is checking the combox and it gives me a message "please contact with the dealer". Am I doing something wrong? Can you help?

Software v15.70 must be use for c168 clone.

Finally, something got posted in the Carbrain (www.c-168.com (http://www.c-168.com)) website download page. It's some beta version of Carbrain II. There are two files there:
Car Brain II 01203 Beta
Car Brain II 01129 Beta

These files install over your current Carbrain software in your computer. The 01129 Beta does not do anything and just hangs. The 01203 runs and turns out to be just a teaser/incomplete software. Barely contains anything.

Since this overwrites your existing installation. Better put a different directory/folder when you try to install it. So it installs on another directory. This thing is like a demo software. Not much in it. I guess they just want to show they are developing Car Brain II.

Per my opinion, it's worthless trying to look into this. But a positive note is, finally there's some movement in the website. The company is still alive.

i have tried both c168 original and clone. not a bad tool for its price but don't expect too much. can't access most modules in new benz, CAN is very limited.
It's not bad for Asian cars though, VW is quite accessible too through c168

Hi guys.
I bought the C168 original and really it is very bad.
In Fiat only covers motor ECU, Mercedes almost nothing, tried using my Mercedes C220 CDI and almost nothing, only motor ECU and 1 or 2 more things, also tried to program inspection but the machine doesnt comunicate with instrument cluster.
Opel just until 2005, nothing else... if you need to scan a newest one you cant.
If I knew what I know now never tried to buy this tool.
I also have CDP-Pro but in my opinion it is the same shit.
Yesterday tried to connect to seat ibiza airbag and no sucess.
Until today the best tool I had was the X431 Diagun.
