Deprogram-Reset Fiat Brava ECU (IAW-1AF15 TMS374)

Hi all,

I'm looking forward to reset/deprogram an ECU for a -97 Fiat Brava; the ecu is a Magneti Marelli IAW-1AF.15.

I have various programmers, so the hardware part wont be a problem.
I was just wondering if anybody knew where to get the software to reset the ECU or some "blank" bin to program the ECU with.

Before anybody says "Use the search button!" i want to say, i actually did!

I found the VIRGIN ECU Database ~1gb and am now downloading it..

The dump is "IMMO OFF" which basically means the ECU will be virgin and ready to be reprogrammed with new keys, right? (im a newbie at this atm)

yes ! most FIAT have this procedure.

To make it virgin simplest way is to use a chip that re-writes the eeprom, then put the original chip back in.
Other way is to use a file/chip that ignores the immo, usually termed decode.
I'm sure you have fixed it by now.

for this one (IAW-1AF15 ) you will need one mcu TMS374 programmer

Hi. Save this file in new eprom 27c512 insert this eprom to the ECU
power on ignition the 30second. Ignition off insert orginal eprom.
