Chinese Volvo DICE

Has anyone experience about Chinese clone DICE?s?

Are you able to download current softwares from your car modules with it or does it always require online connection to Volvo?

Example downloading software from your broken driver door module and then send the same software to new, replaced module.

The chinese DiCE is identical clones, and does not do anything more than OEM. They also seem to be delivered without internal bluetooth module and card reader.

Is there any aftermarket good tool for Volvo cause my Launch does it but not very strong?

I am sure you can't get a genuine for less than a clone.
But there might be people selling clones for higher prices.

Some months ago (janaury) I've buyed a original unit for 400 euro + vat plus 20+vat the cable.
From a local Volvo dealer.Just ordered the unit telling the order number to the delear.
The dice is J2534 capable unit, so can work with Honda HDS (just to scan engine and gearbox, other unit non visible).

I think you must have been lucky and got the wrong price,
or I will have to travel to Italy next vacation.

Maybe it is a spare part number or something.

The cable is the USB cable, right?

Just to confirm my word.
You have to go to a Volvo' spare parts delear.
You'll gave the order number but don't tell the delear what is it. :)
9 5 1 3 0 0 0 for D i c e unit
9 5 1 3 0 0 4 for 12V supply cable

Here the main unit cost Euro 400 plus Vat
and Cable 17.4 plus vat.

The D i c e in Usa have an higher price than in Europe.

Dealers got burned by buying Chinese Dice clones. Volvo sent out a bulletin stating they would not support? or warranty clones for repairs. I hope the dealers aren?t unloading these on the public?

Did you use the supplied ?volvo dice firmware? on Honda HDS?
I have been wondering if dice firmware could be changed with other makers pass-thru firmware.

Yes.
I've modified the register of HDS software, so the Honda Hds point to D i c e J2534 firmware or driver.
Work!!

By the way HDS seen only gerabox and Engine (Civic 2007).

I've tried with toyota teachstream, but the soft doesn't communicate with the car.

So far I have not found any clone supplier who would provide DICE with internal bluetooth modul. If you know some supplier, please give the web address.

One supplier did say that bluetooth was planned, but they never actually made it. There is just a led to indicate bluetooth connection, even there is no bluetooth.

Somehow its quite difficult to imagine that original could get cheaper that clones without bluetooth function. If you really can get original with 400€, you should sell them on ebay with nice profit. I am sure that you would have plenty of happy customers. Cheapest used (original) unit what I have found, costs 800€
