I am having enormouse troble installing vida 2010A, the moment it displays "installing windowsinstaller31" i get a message saying "Can not start SQL-Browser" and can go further.

To stop e-update...
No need to edit the registry.
under volvo admin (should be a new icon after install)there is a box to uncheck in the e-update scheduler or some such description

Hey guys. First of very good info here.
I installed the patch, right after installing the VIDA 2010B. The Update thingy in the Windows XP Info section disappeared. I tried login in with admin, 1 and volvo (because it says "This machine is registered as volvo). But The WSL Login Window Pops Up saying something 'bout Secure Web-login asking for ID and Pass. What am I doing wrong?

I ran into a similar situation when installing 2010b, i was patching the wrong folder, then i found here in the forum the right way:

1. Install VIDA
2. After reboot run the patch, you must install the patch only to c:\ (not to c:\vida) edit destination folder if necessary.
3. Login as admin or 1 If a new windows will pop-up asking for username/password just close it and on the previous windows you will be logged in already.

Hi,
Start\Run: msconfig (Startup tab) uncheck Java related to eupdate, also you can uncheck VIDA to stop monitor at startup.
To run vida later: (Start\All Programs\Vida) click VIDA Monitor.

I cannot get EWD (Electrical wiring diagrams) to work. It says its not installed. I just did a clean install of 2010D with no errors. Everything works fine except for EWD.
