Additional software for X431 launch

Hullo everyone!
and in the next line I have a question:
Has anyone heard about extra additional software for x431 launch (linux)? I mean software extends x431, for example: setting the odometer or decoding car audio... I mean not cracked actualisation, but software extending the capabilities of this equipment.
ooph, sorry for my selfteaching enlish, I hope you understand what I mean and help me if you can do this...

You mean extra function to do odometer correction,example.

yes, X431 there is a additional software for only key programming, radio decode and some other functions as well......but only in chinese version. does have the english version

U can change the X431 serial number using this software, no need to remove any eeprom to change the serial

There was a sales person who came to me almost a year ago and said the new Launch could also do chip tuning and he could activate it for me after I buy it.

I asked a couple of questions to make sure he knows what the heck chiptuning is and of course he did not have any clue.

A simple question was "where does it get the remapped file?", Any car has its own remapped dump and it varies from city to city even for the same car, all I said seemed Greek to him.

I asked him to try it on a Mercedes for me, but he said I had to buy the tool first and then he would activate it for me... :thefinger:There you go, IT WAS ONLY A SALES PITCH and a lie.

For God's sake, if they can do chip tuning, why they kept it secret? Why are they NOT making money out of it? Why are not they selling it on their website? :ridinghorse:

I don't say it's impossible, but please someone explains how it does all those fancy stuff and educate us too.

I think Launch is losing its market share and these are all efforts to keep their head over the water, just my two cents.

Chip is W77LE58 ( this is only for first version of smartbox )
Diagun , GX3 or Master have diferent chip

if it is a chinese version you might want to check inside the x431 if there are no pins soldered together on the rs232 connector, i know mine has in order to make update trough originale website impossible.
