Format the usb pen on PC. Then put only the file on the usb pen. Stick it in then switch the xbox on. Will auto upadate from there.

Works fine on mine except

1) Award items don't show up, won't allow me to select them
2) UGLY, my god is the interface every terrible looking, don't know what they were thinking when they came up with this look....
3) Themes won't change soo I'm stuck with this ugly squared off white block for a GUI

Pro's

1) Much faster going to menus,achievements and avatars
2) Avatar system was enhanced, still can't customize all clothes/colors...
3) Xbox 360 logo on start up is awesome, love it
4) Support for Kinect, settings, menus etc

God it looks Fuc!ing awful ! I Know this is only a Beta Release from the Japanese Trials and Promotion , But I hope there are some Changes made before Official Release in November...

If not I am Staying put for as long as I can with the current Version, and Wait to see If anything will happen to HDD's with Banned consoles or something else, Microsoft always disable something as they see fit with these updates....

I don't think it looks that bad, but to be honest as long as its functional and loads pages quicker than the existing dash I dont really care what it looks like.

are u saying its safe to use it if my box is all sweet and not been touched? can i backup old dash or get it from somewhere incase i dont liek it?

i used the last update b4 release date and i never got banned. but who knows what will happen this time. if i was you keep the old one till the update.
