hey all

Have some questions for 530d e39 if somone is expert :D

Engine starts on cold ok, on hot little revs but starts.
Both pumps are changed, intank/inline..
I have error in engine ecu attached.
Sometimes on idle, engine worm or cold, engine behaves as somebody touch very fast gas pedal... ?

Here are inpa pics..

lo-lo thanks for answer, how do you know number1 is faulty?
2.77 is not good value?
What is range of good one?
Test stand? where, how?

Anyway, car is in city always, I've put some injector cleaner fluid in tank and went to highway a bit..
Pic is taken after little digressive 40miles.. 2.77 to 0.90.. probably car needs to be driven a little aggressive..
Any opinion, maybe to clean all injector on ultrasonic?

Hi.
Try to measure, rail pressure at start to see if is correct.
Engine with low rpm, starter,or battery defective.
Hot you not have the help of plugs.

If I can remmember correctly, while cranking its about 150, next 5-10 seconds it goes to 338-350, and after 10 seconds stays on about 350 ~ 360..
Is this ok?
What is actually range for injector, all 6 shows different values.. tnx

hi

the inj no1 has the greater value (bmw say ...normal -5< X < 4) if your inj 1 has 2.7 at idle it's most probably causing the rail pressure to drop at lower(starting) rpm.
the dme try to hold the engine balanced and compensate the inj1 pressure loose ...so u have difrent compensation for other inj.
ultrasonic cleaning is no good for common rail inj...only for petrol ...old cars...maybe.
u need to take out your inj and go to a diesel service workshop and run some test (pressure, leakage, frquency, flow, etc) standard test for common rail inj.
the diesel additive is just like a "viagra" ;) big effect for a short period of time...
inj worn out in time and then ...is no "viagra' helping...maybe "holly water"...and the exchange program from bosch

have fun!

Measure the injector return flows. Even one injector with excessive return flow will result in a low rail pressure and hard start.
