Hey Guys!
I own a 1991 BMW e30. A few days ago after giving my car a normal service (pugs, oil filter, fuel filter, oil, air filter). It is very difficult to start, it idles very erratic (i have cleaned the Idle Control Valve) and when i drive past 2800rpm it starts to backfire and jerk.
Can anyone help me?

hi
not enough fuel (pressure too low) ...check the new fuel filter...and lines... if evrything is ok, strangle a little bit the fuel return hose from injectors rail and give it a try ...it can be also the fuel pump.
have fun!

Check the ribbed rubber hose between the airflow meter & the inlet manifold. They often develop splits in between the ribs. This allows un-metered air into the engine. It may have been disturbed when you changed the air filter.

Also check plug gaps are not to small
or too large.
What color are the spark plugs and are they the correct ones for the car
